Happy Holidays! This year we are doing things a little differently by capturing the spirit of the season in a much more meaningful way.
In lieu of cutting down trees and spending a hefty penny on traditional holiday cards, we are donating that money to the California fire victims who lost their homes.
The REALTORS® Relief Foundation was created to deliver housing assistance to those in need during the critical weeks and months after disaster strikes. Such sudden destruction leaves thousands of individuals and families struggling to find a footing and many without homes, and we are so happy to help those in need.
ABOUT THE REALTORS® RELIEF FOUNDATION
The National Association of REALTORS® first launched the REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF) as the REALTORS® Relief Fund in 2001, within hours of the devastating Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks—raising more than $8.4 million to provide assistance so that surviving family members could stay in their homes. Since then, more than $25 million has been raised for victims of disasters, including wildfires, tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes. Today, RRF exists as a 501(c)(3) organization established to provide housing-related assistance to victims of disasters and for other charitable purposes permitted under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Over the past 17 years, the RRF has collected and distributed over $29 million in relief aid for more than 70 disasters in 37 states and territories. Not only that, but every dollar goes directly to victims of a disaster. The National Association of REALTORS® covers 100% of administrative expenses.
